Just over a week ago some of the providers had the opportunity to visit the Metagenics factory in Gig Harbor. Dr. Landerholm, Dr. VanderWel, Breanne, Betty, Nora, and I all visited this factory which is the primary manufacture and supplier of Bariatric Advantage vitamins.
We got to see firsthand this magnificent factory in action. While we were there, we learned about their stringent quality control and their ability to make vitamins and supplements efficiently.
Did you know it takes 16-30 days to take a core ingredient that has been shipped to the factory and pass it through quality assurance inspection before it is even allowed into the building?
Once all the ingredients are in the building there are staff that weigh it and ensure the proper dose is appropriated to each vitamin, capsule, and tablet. All staff is geared up head to toe to keep out any outside and/or contaminate substances. After the products are put together, they go to area for strict quality control testing.
Metagenics is fully equipped with an onsite lab where they continue to improve and innovate the R&D process of their vitamins and supplements.
Metagenics is in a different league when it comes their manufacturing and stringent quality controls. We learned that not all manufactures are this way. (And they are supplying consumers with vitamins and supplements)! Very few are monitored and endorsed by the FDA (which Metagenics/Bariatric Advantage is).
We came away learning so much about the way the products we recommend to our patients are created, developed, tested, and held to high quality standards. It was a wonderful experience, and I can whole heartedly say I will continue to fully endorse Bariatric Advantage products for our patients.
